[Update 24 Jan] ACL teams are announced and here you can check ARY Celebrity League teams. It will be an indoor untraditional cricket league.
The famous News channel of Pakistan, ARY has announced a new T20 cricket league in Pakistan. You will see the famous Pakistani celebrities in this league and its name is ARY Celebrity League.
There is nothing much revealed yet by the ARY group till now accept a teaser on the TV and YouTube about ARY Celebrity League (ACL). It is expected that the ACL will start before the start of the Pakistan Super League from Feb 20.
3 to 4 teams will participate in the league with famous Pakistani celebrities playing in the league. Names of the franchises and the owners are still not announced by the management of ACL.
This T20 cricket league will be organized by the ARY Digital media group who also owned the PSL franchise Karachi Kings. The Karachi Kings is the winner of HBL PSL 5 and now they are the defending champions in HBL PSL 6 2021.
The CEO of ARY Digital media group Salman Iqbal takes much interest in cricket and he personally attended many matches of Karachi Kings in PSL events.
As we mentioned earlier, there is very limited information is provided by the ARY in the teaser but on Twitter, we have found a picture (check picture on the top) of a few Pakistani celebrities wearing a cricket kit.
This picture shows that the team name is Bolan Knights and ACL (ARY Celebrity League) logo can be seen on the kit along with Sunsilk as the advertiser on the shirt.
Remember there is a Celebrity Cricket League (CCL) and it is organized by India that has 6 teams from different regions.
