Born in South Africa on May 18, 1985, David Wiese is a Namibian cricketer who presently competes in international cricket for Namibia. Wiese was born in Namibia. As a result of the fact that Wiese’s father was born in Namibia, he was granted the opportunity to compete for Namibia in international cricket matches.
The period of time between 2013 and 2016 that Wiese participated for South Africa in international cricket was followed by the month of October 2021, when he made his debut for Namibia.
On August 2, 2013, Wiese made his debut representing South Africa in a Twenty20 International match against Sri Lanka. In the One-Day International match that took place on August 19, 2015, he played his debut match for South Africa versus New Zealand.
It was announced that he would be a part of the South African team that would compete in the ICC World Twenty20 2016. Unfortunately, South Africa was eliminated in the Super 10s.
Pierre de Bruyn, the Namibian’s head coach of the cricket team, stated in August 2021 that Wiese would be available to play for Namibia at the 2021 ICC Men’s Twenty20 World Cup.
Wiese now plays for the Namibian national cricket team. In September of 2021, Wiese was selected to be a member of Namibia’s team that will compete in the Twenty20 World Cup.

In the course of the 2019 Pakistan Super League, Lahore Qalandars made a late decision to replace Carlos Brathwaite with David Wiese by signing him as a substitute. As a result of his power-hitting ability, he eventually became an indispensable player for the Lahore Qalandars team in the Pakistan Super League.
