Iftikhar Ahmed, who was born in KPK, Pakistan, is a top-order batter and an off-fielder who is more than capable. He has played for Pakistan across each format and was a member of the team that played England in England during 2016 and tied the Test series 2-2.
However, it was a somewhat forgettable start for Pakistan in what turned out to be a momentous game as they tied the series with a victory in the last Test match at the Oval.
Before that, he made his debut in the Twenty20 internationals in 2016, and in one-day internationals the year before that, in 2015. Once more, the failures he had in those few games led to him being benched for the rest of the season.
However, his good results at the local level continually put him in consideration for a call-up to the national team.

Iftikhar Ahmed started his PSL career as a team member of Karachi Kings in 2016. Till now he has switched 4 teams in PSL those are Peshawar Zalmi, Islamabad United, Quetta Gladiators, and Karachi Kings.
Up till this point, he has participated in every season of the Pakistan Super League and has played for four different teams.
In the recent edition of PSL 8 Iftikhar Ahmed has represented Quetta Gladiators.

Iftikhar Ahmed represents Quetta Gladiators in Pakistan Super League Season 8 which was held in March. He was a key player of Gladiators and performed well in this season. He made 189 runs in this season which is the third most after Martin Guptill and Jason Roy.
