Mohammad Amir PSL Career

Mohammad Amir is a Pakistani ex-cricketer who was born on 13 April 1992 in Gujar Khan, Rawalpindi, Pakistan. He played for Pakistan international team between 2009 and 2020 and he has a wonderful PSL career as well.

The left-arm fast bowler played his first match for Pakistan on 30 July 2009 against Sri Lanka. Also, he has represented the Pakistan cricket team in T20s and test matches.

The young pacer had a great start in the Pakistan cricket team. He was an important part of Pakistan’s team that won the ICC 2009 T20 World Cup. On 29 August 2010, he was caught involved in a spot-fixing scandal with two other players of Pakistan. The International Cricket Council found him guilty and banned him for five years.

He apologized to the nation and requested to give him one last chance to play for Pakistan. In the 2016 Asia Cup, he was brought back to the Pakistan cricket team and played brilliantly in his first match against India.

Mohammad Amir PSL Career

In the first edition of the PSL, Karachi Kings picked him as their mainstream fast bowler. Mohammad Amir’s PSL career has been fantastic so far, and he has been seen playing in PSL 2023.

Amir is on the list of leading wicket-takers in the PSL and holds the record for most maiden overs by a bowler in the league.

Mohammad Amir’s PSL career started with one of the strongest teams in the league ‘Karachi Kings’ in 2016. Although the Karachi Kings did not have a good start in the PSL, Aamir continued to perform for his team. The Karachi Kings finally won their first PSL title in 2020.

He is among those players who are playing for the same PSL franchise since the PSL started back in 2016.

So far, Mohammad Amir played 65 matches in the PSL and dismissed 63 batters. The T20 format is not a favorite for bowlers, but Aamir’s performance in the T20s is exceptional. Amir’s bowling average in the PSL is 28.69. No doubt, his bowling average is not as per his talent but he has a good bowling economy rate of 7.46.

Mohammad Amir’s bowling strike rate in the PSL is 23.07, and 3 times he takes the four-wicket haul. The fast bowler is at the 8th number on the list of leading wicket-takers in the PSL tournament. His best bowling figures are 4 wickets for 25 runs against Multan Sultans.

Mohammad Amir PSL 8 (2023)

Mohammad Aamir represented Karachi Kings in the last PSL edition in 2023. Although Karachi Kings did not perform well in this tournament Amir’s performance was very good. He played 7 matches and took 9 wickets at an economy of 8.75.

Though Mohammad Amir is not playing for Pakistan’s national team now because of his personal issues with the ex-coaches of the Pakistan cricket team. He was also facing problems with his form, especially in the test format.

Whereas in the ODI format, he was struggling as well. But Mohammad Amir’s performance in the HBL PSL career is still good.
