A convincing win for Pakistan against Zimbabwe in the 2nd T20I match against Zimbabwe at Rawalpindi. Pakistan won this match with 8 wickets and 4.5 overs spare. The young guns Haider Ali and Usman Qadir contributed a major role in this win.
Yesterday, Pakistan had won the 1st T20I match against Zimbabwe in 3 match series.
Pakistan won the toss and elected to field first. The bowlers bowled well and a fine spell of leg spinner young Usman Qadir, who is the son of the greatest ever leg spinner Abdul Qadir, restricts Zimbabwe to a low score. In his 4 overs, he sends 3 batsmen back to Pavillion for just 23 runs.
With him, the fast bowler Haris Rauf also took 3 wickets for 31 runs in 4 overs. Zimbabwe could only put 134 runs on the board in the limited 20 overs. RP Burl made an unbeaten 32 runs with 1 six and 1 four.
That proved to be an easy chase for the host team and they won the match on the 1st ball of the 16th over. Captain Babar Azam made another fifty and scored 51 runs on 28 balls with the help of 1 six and 8 fours.
Youngster Haider Ali who is part of the Peshawar Zalmi Squad of PSL 2020 played a brilliant knock as he made unbeaten 66 runs. In this innings, he hit 3 sixes and 6 fours.
Haider Ali declared as the player of the match because of his brilliant 66 runs winnings. Pakistan lost 2 wickets and chased the score in 15.1 overs and won the 2nd T20 international match against Zimbabwe.
Now, Pakistan leads the 3 match series with 2-0. Pakistan will play the 3rd T20I match on the 10th of November at the same venue.
