As expected, Pakistan has won the series by winning the last and the final T20 international match against Zimbabwe by 8 wickets. The Green Team has whitewashed the T20 series by winning all three T20 international matches. Usman Qadir took 4 wickets in the match, his career-best.
Zimbabwe won the toss and elected to bat first again but they failed again to put a big total on the scorecard. Their first wicket falls at the total score of 26 when Imad Wasim Took his first wicket in the 4th over.
Craig Ervine went at the total score of 33 when Fakhar Zaman takes the catch on Haris Rauf’s delivery in the 6th over. Then, young leg-break bowler, Usman Qadir started his spell and he destroyed the batting line of Zimbabwe.
Usman Qadir showed a brilliant performance as he got 4 wickets for just 13 runs in his 4 overs. For the award of Player of the Match, there was no option other than Usman Qadir.
Imad Wasim also took 2 wickets in the match whereas Mohammad Hasnain and Haris Rauf took 1 wicket each. Pakistan restricted the Zimbabwe batting line up to a total score of 129.
It was an easy chase for the host team as they reached the target score of 130 in the 16th over. Opener Fakhar Zaman failed once again and he didn’t able to play big innings. He made 21 runs on 24 balls which is not enough for a player like him.
The debutant and opener batsman, Abdullah Shafique played a good knock as he made 41 runs on 33 balls. He hit 4 fours and 1 six to make his unbeaten 41 runs.
Haider Ali also adds27 runs on 20 balls to the total score as he hit 2 sixes and 1 four. Khushdil Shah hit 3 sixes and 3 fours and he consumed only 15 balls to make 36 runs.
Captain Babar Azam didn’t bat as he provided a chance to youngsters. Pakistan convincingly won the 3rd T20I match with 8 wickets and 4.4 overs spare. The two debutants from Zimbabwe, Faraz Akram, and Milton Shumba couldn’t perform well in their first match.
With a player of the match, Usman Qadir also gets the award of player of the series as he took a total of 8 wickets in the 3 match series. The Pakistan-Zimbabwe series is over now as there are no test matches.
Haris Rauf, Usman Qadir, and Ali Haider proved to be good youngsters for Pakistan. You will see these players in the playoff matches of PSL as well.
