PSL Career of Rashid Khan

Rashid Khan Arman is an international cricketer from Afghanistan who was born on the twentieth of September 1998. He is now the skipper of the national team of Afghanistan for Twenty20 International matches. In franchise leagues, he performs for the Gujarat Titans in the IPL, in Australia’s Big Bash League (BBL) for the Adelaide Strikers, in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) for the Lahore Qalandars, and in the Major League Cricket (MLC) for the MI New York. He bats with a right hand and bowls with a right-arm leg spin delivery.

In June of 2018, he was among eleven cricketers who represented Afghanistan in the country’s very first Test match, which was played against India.

On October 18, 2015, he competed in his first One-Day International (ODI) for Afghanistan, which was a match against Zimbabwe. On October 26, he played in his first Twenty20 International (T20I), which was also a match against Zimbabwe. On June 14, 2018, he made his first appearance for Afghanistan in a Test match against India. As a result of his 154 runs given up in the opening innings of his maiden test, he made history by becoming the very first bowler in the history of any participant’s country to become the inaugural bowler to give up over 150 runs during their first test game. It was announced in April 2018 that he would be part of the remainder of the World XI team for the one-off Twenty20 International match that would be played versus the West Indies at Lord’s Stadium on May 31, 2018.

Rashid Khan started his PSL journey in Pakistan Super League in 2021 as an emerging player of Lahore Qalandars in 2021. He played the next two seasons also from Lahore Qalandars and was the part of Winning team in 2022 and 2023.

Rashid Khan is the key player of Lahore Qalandars because he is a very good spinner of the ball as well as he can hit the ball out of the park.

Rashid Khan was chosen by Lahore Qalandars in 2021 and since then he is a major part of Qalandars. He can spin the ball very accurately and can be dangerous for major batsmen.

Khan was part of winning Lahore Qalandars in 2022 and 2013. He played a major role with the ball and bat as well in some matches.

Rashid Khan is a spin bowler but he can hit the ball hard and can send the ball out of the ground. He has worked with the bat on many occasions.

Mostly Rashid Khan comes from a lower order so has no fifty scores in Pakistan Super League.

Rashid is the number 1 T20 bowler. He has the fastest 50 and 100 wickets by matches in the world.

Rashid Khan is also a key bowler for Lahore Qalandars and helps them to win PSL titles. The strike rate of Rashid Khan with the ball is 15.13 which is very good in T20 cricket.

Rashid Khan in PSL 8 (2023)

Rashid played a key role in winning the PSL 8 for Lahore Qalandars. He could not play some matches but when he joined the Lahore Qalandars, Qalandars won the title with his bowling.

He played 11 matches and took 20 wickets with a bowling average of 14.05 and his economy rate was 8.03.

Rashid Khan batted in 8 innings and scored 73 runs with a strike rate of 108.96 and an average score of 14.60.
