Shahid Afridi is a Pakistani cricketer who played his first ODI for Pakistan on 2 October 1996. It would not be wrong to say that he is the most famous and loved cricketing personality in the entire world. His international and PSL career is awesome as well.
Not only in Pakistan but Shahid Afridi also has an enormous fan following around the globe due to his versatile playing style and good personality. He is also the Father-in-Law of Pakistani fast bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi.
After retiring from International Cricket, Shahid Afridi is running the Shahid Afridi Foundation which provides health and education facilities to the people of Pakistan.
His current age is 46, and his nickname is Boom Boom. Ravi Shastri gave him the title of Boom Boom during a match against India where he scored a blistering century on just 45 balls.

Shahid Afridi PSL Career
Shahid Afridi’s PSL career started as a captain and icon player of Peshawar Zalmi. He played for Peshawar Zalmi for two years and then joined another franchise. So far, he played 7 seasons of the Pakistan Super League and represented 4 different teams.
Now in 2022, he appeared last time in PSl and represented Quetta Gladiators.

In the first season of the PSL, Boom Boom was the Captain of Peshawar Zalmi. Under his captaincy, Peshawar played extremely well but couldn’t make it to the finals. After the end of PSL 2017, Shahid Afridi left Peshawar and joined Karachi Kings.
He also played for Multan Sultans in 3 editions from 2019 to 2021. In PSL 6 (2021) he could only play 4 matches and then he couldn’t continue due to his back injury. In PSL 2022, he joined Quetta Gladiators and played PSL 7 for Gladiators.
